The Chabot side table presents a clean, modern, and sturdy surface to keep your drinks or devices close at hand. Though it has a minimal silhouette, the planetary swirls of the rare wood grain, the silky curves of the edges, and the texture of the sand-cast bronze offer a sensory treat. Beyond the obvious aesthetic presence of bronze, we decided to use heavy, cast legs so that any bounding pet or curious munchkin wouldn't disturb any beverage placed on it.
The name Chabot (rhymes with 'chateau') is taken from the historical Northern California Chabot Observatory where scientists have been studying the heavens for over 100 years. The hardwood that is local to this region is rich in color and depth, and finished tables often bear more than a passing resemblance to the celestial bodies within the reach of our telescopes.
